TCMA 2012 Conference

This year’s national TCMA conference will be held in Adelaide, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the TCMA and there are plans to celebrate in style with a number of special events. We have a stunning range of keynote speakers who will stimulate your thinking and chaplaincy directions.

This year we are doing a reflection on “Mosaic”, the theme for the Yale conference happening in the middle of the year. For all those who aren’t attending the conference in Yale, this provides a good opportunity to get an insight at what was learnt without paying the airfares to America. We are also looking forward to those who are attending the conference in Yale to share what you took away from your time there. Our accommodation is at Nunyara Conference Centre, in the foothills over-looking Adelaide and its beaches. You will not find a better view of a national capital city by day or by night! There will be good food and comfortable and affordable accommodation. For more information, check out their website here.

Discount for first-time conference participants:

We are offering a $100 discount to all those who are attending a TCMA Conference for the first time.   The discount is to be deducted from the Conference Registration fee (refer to Registration form).

Information for your diaries:

The conference begins late Tuesday morning the 25th of September, with accommodation available for the Monday night, if that is easier. The conference concludes with a gala 25th anniversary dinner on Thursday evening the 27th of September.

On the Friday, you may wish to leave or you can spend the day on one of several excursions being offered. This will allow you to have some casual time with other chaplains while enjoying some of the many attractions in and around Adelaide.

Former University Chaplains

We are also inviting former university chaplains from the previous 25 years to join us for all or part of the conference, but especially the gala dinner on the Thursday night. This also provides an opportunity to spend the Friday reminiscing and catching up together. So if you know any former chaplains in your denomination or faith group, please pass on this information via the TCMA website.

We are looking forward to spending this conference together, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the TCMA.
